If I bake this pie and froze it for like a month later ,will the cookies in the pie still be crunchy or soft and stale after defrosting ? thanks

Can I leave this for 2 weeks in the freezer with the lid on it before baking?

Just wondering why you think there would be cornflour in the recipe?

When I made it I started with the lid. I pressed it between two sheets of cling film on my pastry mat to get the right size circle. Then I used what was left to cover the base and sides. This made fitting the lid so much easier, peeled off one side of cling film, flipped it onto the top, peeled off the cling film and pinched the edges to seal. It was delicious but couldn’t each much at a time, it’s very rich.

I have made this today for someone’s birthday and haven’t cut into it yet but I am SO excited to see the middle of it and properly try some! I’ve followed your recipes before and love them 😊

This may mean your tin is a different size, or you are just using too much dough in the other parts of the recipe as it definitely should be enough! x

Love this recipe but for some reason both times I’ve made it I’ve not had enough for the lid I measure carefully and today tired to measure the dough to 400g for the there 1/4/s didn’t even make 300g and still ran out. Love it though tasted so good

Hii, how are you? Can I freeze the pieces instead of leaving them in the fridge?

Hiya – no it can’t. It will not work warm as the filling will be liquid and spill out everywhere.
